DMW VALUES
DMW Will & Estate Practitioner Services founded by Debbie Wright brings over 17 years of expertise to the realm of estate planning, specialising in crafting Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney.
DMW core values centre on delivering professional, friendly, and affordable services, aiming to simplify life's complexities for our clients who are at the heart of our business.

DMW recognises a responsibility to heighten awareness regarding the critical importance of having both a Will and an Enduring Power of Attorney in place. This proactive measure is essential to circumvent potential complications that may arise in the absence of these documents, complications that could lead to significant financial burdens and emotional distress for families
Our aim at DMW is to take the stress away and ease any complications you may face when protecting your family. It is for this reason we provide out of office hours meetings and home visits at no extra charge at a time convenient for you.
IOM Residents
Visit DMW Ramsey office or enjoy the flexibility of home visits and out-of-office hours at no extra charge. We will discuss your needs, provide advice, and initiate the drafting process—all draft documents delivered within 7 days. After your approval, we will finalise and sign everything in a second meeting. Video and telephone meetings are also available for your preference
Non - IOM Residents
DMW provide Wills, estate planning advice and Enduring Powers of Attorney to Non-Isle of Man residents who may hold assets in the Isle of Man. We can discuss your requirements and advise you via e-mail video call and/or telephone and then provide you with drafts to review. Once you are happy with your drafts, we will provide clear and concise instructions on how to execute your Isle of Man Will.
Wills & Jurisdictions
**It is always recommended that you seek legal advice in any jurisdiction where a particular asset is held. We say this, as some jurisdictions, particularly many civil law jurisdictions, provide for what is called forced heirship, whereby irrespective of any Will provision the domestic law may require that certain assets are inherited by certain family members. When making a Will for a particular jurisdiction, you need to be careful it does not inadvertently revoke any other Wills you may hold. It is vitally important that the wording in your Isle of Man Will and any other Will(s) are correct and complimentary to ensure that they do not accidently revoke each other, and we can assist with this.**
Safe Custody
DMW provide safe custody services with a fully fireproof safe at our office for our clients so that you have the peace of mind knowing that your Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney are safe and secure.

You can of course choose to retain your original documents yourself; however, there are a number of risks when storing your documents, yourself such as destruction by fire, flooding and accidental damage or loss. If the original Will cannot be found on your death, it may be that your executors can apply to the courts to prove a copy of your Will; however, this involves fairly complex affidavits surrounding the circumstances of the loss or destruction and they must also prove that it was not your intention to revoke such will intentionally.
